Aimed at applying the topics covered in our IBM Cognos Report Studio Fundamentals course when reporting from SAP Info Providers, this two day curriculum will explain the differences between more common relational data sources and SAP multi-dimensional data sources. The class will also focus on elements around importing SAP metadata into IBM Cognos Framework Manager. Available for both Cognos 10 and 8.

Course Outline
This two-day instructor-led course is best suited technical users who are focused on creating complex reports based off of SAP and other related disparate data sources.
Students will learn about the differences between hierarchical SAP multi-dimensional data sources and relational database systems. Particular attention will be paid to report development tactics within Report Studio will allow personnel to draw the most information out of their SAP environment. Included in this analysis will be topics such as troubleshooting and importing BW metadata into Framework Manager.
Each topic will be highlighted with in-depth workshops, Q&A sessions and tips and techniques drawn from over 15 plus years of cross industry experience.
Observations
The curriculum is based on the most recent version of IBM Cognos 8 BI (8.4) and SAP NetWeaver (7.1) Additionally, the class uses the sample data sources included in the IBM Cognos BI 8.4 Samples package. For an even more enriching experience, the course content can be entirely customized to any customer’s environment including, but not limited to, the tutorials and workshops.
All of our instructors are IBM Cognos certified report authors. In addition, they provide the benefit of having up to 15 years of real-world experience.

Pre-requisites
A good comprehension of IBM Cognos 8 Report Studio is required.
An understanding of SAP NetWeaver is a benefit.
