IBM Cognos Dynamic Cubes
As data warehouses continually grow in size, the need for improved performance becomes more and more important. The ability to leverage star or snowflake structures through ad-hoc query and interactive analysis has become business intelligence requirement for many organizations. IBM Cognos Dynamic Cubes help meet this requirement.
Course Outline
This 2-day class is designed to provide fundamental and advanced coverage of the entire Dynamic Cube metadata modeling process, from the initial project creation to publishing cubes.
During the class, students will review the IBM Cognos BI landscape to understand where dynamic cubes fits, create and deploy cubes, and learn about advanced topics including performance optimization and defining security.
Each topic will be highlighted with in-depth demos, Q&A sessions, and tips and techniques drawn from over 15 years of cross industry experience.
Observations
The curriculum is based on the most recent version of IBM Cognos BI, and uses the sample data sources included in the IBM Cognos BI Samples package.
